I'm so sorry i haven't updated this blog for two weeks! yikes!
I'm heading off to New York City tomorrow, and work has been both busy and dead (if thats possible) i haven't had a lot of shoots, though what I have had looks great (I'll post some pictures tonight before I head off) but i have been busy with edits and some new and interesting projects.
Camera wise for the trip I'll be taking my handy little Leica and the Lomo, and leaving my Canon at home, I'm trying to scale down and loosen up a bit and actually feel the place rather than view it through a lens. Plus, i figured I'm not doing any actual work over there and too seldom do I get to shoot for pleasure... gah, i dunno. I hope i don't regret leaving it at home.

An interesting little shoot today, and a great new model. Keilyn is a rather striking newbie who was kind enough to let me shoot her in a rather erratic way today.
I'd be lying if i said my recent Japan trip didn't influence this shoot.

A busy day today and an early start!
Nice light, great models, big lunch and great conversation. Turned my post-holiday blues around.

So I'm back from Japan, and all i can say is "wow".
I haven't had much time since I got back and I only just then, got time to upload my pictures. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about posting them, but here is one for the meantime.

It was a real struggle to avoid the "tourist" type pics, but Tokyo was so foreign to me I was kinda stuck. There is some nice, different stuff in there though. I'm planning to go back, as I have a bunch of amazing shoot ideas in mind.
It seems I have a busy week already. Tomorrow I'm shooting a girl/girl in a bookshop, will be fun to get right back into it, am a little worried about the lighting as I haven't had much time to think about it, I'm sure it'll sort itself out.
In three weeks I'm off to New York. Will be doing a bit of shooting over there, so I'm sure i'll have some good stuff to post from that too. I'm going with some photogenic friends. I'm counting on getting caught up enough with them that i can focus on shooting them rather than trying to translate new NYC feelings into pictures.

Ok. Well right about now I will be settling into the frenetic pace of Shibuya. But thanks to the magic of technology you can be enjoying a couple more pics of Larissa M, while I am eating
Beard Papa... woo!

Where do I start with Larissa M, she is amazing. I was lucky enough to shoot her twice this week, and on both shoots she did a great job. Her coltish beauty was inspiring and different, I could have shot her all day.
Here are a couple of shots from her first shoot.

An interesting little project saw me out in the sunshine today, shooting the always amazing Chloe B. The lighting just looked incredible and Chloe wasn't even cold as we managed to get a pocket of lovely weather.

I know, I know, its still technically winter, but it smelt like spring today!

On Friday night I went and shot some pics for
The Vine,
Baseball were playing with
Snowman and they were really good. Check em out below... I also have some pics of
Snowman from the other night, but i'll post them once I have them all edited.
This time next week i'll be sitting pretty in Tokyo!!! Woohoo! I'm taking my cameras with me, but I'm not sure if i'll be able to post while I'm away. I'm gone for two weeks but i'll come back with some interesting shots, I'm sure.

I like to set myself little challenges. With Cerys' shoot I was trying to capture the effect of natural light, while using entirely artificial light.
